My name is Ellie Hall and I’m a reporter, investigator, and longtime (13+ years) royal correspondent. I worked for BuzzFeed News for a decade until it shut down in May 2023 and since then, I’ve been a freelance journalist, writing about the royal family for publications like The Cut, Vulture, and Harvard University’s Nieman Lab For Journalism.
I’m not sure what this will turn into (and how long I’ll keep this going), but for the moment, it’s a place where I’m going to be posting news about the royal family that I’ve found while going through the Epstein Files.
Although I debated reporting the information I’ve found directly to Twitter/X and Bluesky, I decided that:
Given the sensitivity of the topic, I’d prefer to be able to use more words to report the story instead of limiting myself to a number of characters.
It’s way easier to cite sources on beehiiv than on social media.
In the event I break news and my findings are picked up by other outlets or reporters, I have a better chance of being credited if I have an actual story as opposed to a social media thread.
Before I get started, I want to emphasize that being named in the Epstein Files is not proof of guilt — the only thing I am doing here is reporting information about the royal family that I have yet to see published elsewhere.
